Wedding Day

Crazy quilts were my Gramma's favorite quilts to make. I've heard stories about all the different fabrics used in her quilts; you see, they used what they had on hand. Gramma was a dressmaker. She made all the kids' clothes as well as her own. Among her favorite fabrics were velvets and satins, so of course, they were used in the crazy quilts she made, as well as the everyday fabrics used for clothing. I've been told one of her favorite fancy stitches looked like an L written in cursive. Since my name starts with that letter, I think perhaps it might be my favorite, too.
