My mother grew up with 9 brothers and sisters in a little town called Cranbrook, Ontario, Canada. It is just a small village about 60 miles northeast of London. I can remember Mom telling me that because they lived in the country, they had to entertain themselves, which wasn't very hard to do with that many in the family. They would dress up in their mother's or father's clothing and hats and put on a show to entertain Gramma and Grampa, Aunts and Uncles. They would do this on the tin roof of the wood shed. Somehow, it just seemed right to name this star quilt after the performers in our family.
