Remember Them

I have been very fortunate to work on a project that is near and dear to all of our hearts. Not many of us can say we have not been affected one way or another by breast cancer. In my family alone there are several survivors, my two cousins, Donna Meeks and Leisa Stephenson and my Aunt Roma Ritchie. My mother-in-law, Dorothy Stafford, suffered from breast cancer twice - 20 years apart; however, she did not survive this horrible disease in the end. It is with great respect for all these individuals who endured what they did. The strength and fortitude it takes to conquer this is amazing and for those that fought the war only to lose the battle deserve medals of Honor. This quilt is dedicated to them. And, to the special people in my pattern club, who worked on this project with me. I salute all of you.
