Last Wrung on the Ladder

My uncle. Morgan Earl Cameron. was the last sibling. of 9. He's never been fond of being called the baby boy. Actually, my Mom was the baby girl. and I'm my Mom's baby girl. So you see, someone always has to be the baby. When I designed this Jacobs ladder block quilt, Uncle Morgan was the first to come to mind because he worked for Raymond Brothers Awning Company for over 30 years before he retired just a few years ago. He climbed ladders on a daily basis putting up/taking down awnings and/or tents for celebrations. I can remember one family reunion when he supplied the tents for our big gathering out on one of my uncles farms. The Cameron family, if nothing else, is large and quite noisy when all together. But, they sure know how to have a great time.
