You've already met my grampa, Alan Cameron, who was introduced to you in Punky Doodle Corners, as well as, Pinny 'n Pa. He was a very quiet man who would walk with his hands behind his back and was always whistling softly as he made his way from one place to another. He made wooden buckets to be used while pumping water from the well and whipple trees that he made in his workshop. These items were sold to the neighboring farmers. I remember my mother telling me that the word "sold" could mean anything from getting paid with money or bartered for other useful items. The bartering method was used regularly in those days. Whether you ever had a wooden bucket and/or the use of a Whipple Tree for your wagon, my grampa was your man.
