My mom's memories of her childhood are fascinating to say the least. Over coffee each day we'll reminisce about things that happened in her life time. She has given me so many fun stories to tell. I hope I can remember them all. Here's one I think you will enjoy. My Godmother, Roma Ritchie, who was also my aunt, was feeding the geese one day while still living on the family farm. It was a chore she did quite often. It was while feeding the geese that the gander became extremely mad and knocked my aunt down to the ground. Having pinned her there, he proceeded to peck behind her ear until there was a hole. I'm sure it was quite painful to endure, but, family members came to her rescue and later, that same gander became Sunday dinner. As a matter of fact, I seem to recall goose was always on the table for Christmas dinners in the Cameron family household.
