Crow Gossip

We have the prettiest sycamore tree in our front yard. In the fall it's the first to lose its leaves and in the spring it's the last one to come to life. Usually we have a horde of crows that visit our tree while the leaves are all gone. It's just about every morning that one shows up; wakes me up squawking as loud as it can while sitting on the highest limb. Shortly after that the entire tree is covered with crows. Oh, the clatter they can make! I've seen so many crows in that tree that it looks like it's covered with black leaves. I love sitting on the porch first thing in the morning to hear them gather together to talk about one thing or another.
