There's an old Mason jar that's been in our family for a long time. It isn't worth much, but the memories of what was in that jar are what are important. My Aunt Ree would always fill it with Raspberry J'am that she made from the raspberries in her own garden. I also have very fond memories of hearing the story of when my Mom and Aunt Vi and their friends would go pick berries. My Aunt and her friend were older and they would tease my Mom and her friend, by sneaking berries from their pails. The two younger girls would end up crying on the way home because they didn't have as many berries to show for all their work. Anyway, what berries were brought home, and the ones from Aunt Ree's garden did turn into jam. What better way to remember my Aunt and her special raspberry jam than with a quilt that's named just for her? Let me introduce you to Aunt Ree's Raspberry Jam.
