My Grampa was a Cameron and my Gramma was a Campbell. Someday I'll have to tell you the story of how they met, but for now this quilt was designed with The Campbell's in mind. Green, Blue, some tan and just a hint of yellow is the Campbell plaid, and they certainly wore it proudly. Mom tells a story of how Gramma and her sister's used to go to barn dances and before the night would be over they would be doing the highland fling. My Great Aunt Maggie was Grampa Cameron's sister and the Campbell girls (My Gramma, Gr. Auntie Bean, and Gr. Auntie Jean) would have her grabbing her dancin' shoes too. They had a wonderful time. When I made this quilt it was with them in mind. Can't you just see them kicking up their heels? Let me introduce you to Aunt Maggie's Dancin' Shoes.
