Inspiration for this piece came from a drawing Sarah, my 6 year old granddaughter, made of this funny bird. Her drawing had spirals in the main body so thought that pennies layered and stitched together would be a fun addition. We really enjoy watching and feeding the birds at our house so it just seemed fitting that we would have a little project just for them.
