Here Comes the Judge

I'm not sure any judge could get up these lopsided courthouse steps, but they certainly were fun to make. When I decided to make this quilt, I wanted it to have character - just like the members of my Mom's family! You know how crazy they can be! You have already read some of their stories. The one thing that sticks out in my mind, besides all the fun stuff, is that they all married for life. The vows they took "until death do us part" were very important to all of them. Starting with my Gramma and Grampa, down to the last of 9 siblings, each couple was married 50+ years. My sister and her husband will celebrate 40 years this year and my husband and I will celebrate 35 years as well. I guess what they say about the acorn not falling far from the tree really does apply!
